Marcia was born and raised in New Hampshire where she started working in long term care over 20 years ago in a small (60 bed) rural Nursing Home. She started the first successful subacute unit in a rural setting. She went on to establish ventilator care units designed for ventilator weaning in long term care settings.
Marcia moved to central Florida in 1997. After working in central, north and west Florida she settled in Fort Lauderdale, but ran facilities in Miami and West Palm Beach before coming to Manor Oaks.
Marcia enjoys the cultural diversity of South Florida and says she will never leave. She wants to not only continue her career in long term care but also pursue her passion for scuba diving and under water photography.
Marcia says her motivation to stay in long term care is to see patients rehabilitating and being able to go home and to see her long term are residents having a good time. " Both is what makes my life worthwhile. "
Shereen Trenchfield was born in Nassau Bahamas and has lived in Florida since the age of 8 years old. She is currently the Director of Nursing with an extensive background in nursing and leadership for Manor Oaks and Rehabilitation Center. The facility provides services such as PT, OT, ST, Rehab and nursing to its geriatric population. As the Director of Nursing Shereen is responsible for the overall nursing care, services and outcome of the patients and residents. Shereen is committed to working across healthcare systems to improve medical outcome by leading a team of clinicians.
Shereen became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004 where she started her nursing career at a local hospital. Shereen was then introduce to long term care in 2005 where she enjoyed working with the geriatric population. She started off as a staff nurse and soon be promoted to charge nurse. After being a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years Shereen later completed her Registered Nurse Degree at Dade College. As an RN Shereen climbed the clinical ladder by holding several positions such as Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing and eventually Director of Nursing.
As a Director of Nursing, Shereen goal is to optimize patient outcome and to discharge patients back to their community. Shereen brings to her position a well-established background in clinical leadership and management. Prior to taking on this new role with the Marrinson Group, Shereen has more than over 10 years of experience in nursing management and leadership.
